Dr. Epstein joined Congenital Heart in 2003 to become Maine’s first and only Pediatric and Congenital Electrophysiologist. Dr. Epstein is a graduate of Harvard College and Harvard Medical School. He trained in Pediatrics, Pediatric Cardiology, and Pediatric and Congenital Electrophysiology at Boston Children’s Hospital following which he was a member of the staff at Boston Children’s Hospital for 3 ½ years. Dr. Epstein is board certified in Pediatric Cardiology and Adult Congenital Heart Disease and has been awarded special competency certification in both electrophysiology and cardiac device therapy by the Heart Rhythm Society and the International Board of Heart Rhythm Examiners. He is an Associate Clinical Professor of Pediatrics at Tufts University School of Medicine and is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology.
Dr. Epstein’s interests include non-invasive and invasive electrophysiology in children as well as adults with congenital heart disease. His research has been published in several peer-reviewed journals including the American Journal of Cardiology, Pacing and Clinical Electrophysiology (PACE), Annals of Thoracic Surgery, the Journal of Cardiovascular Electrophysiology, and Cardiology.
