At Congenital Heart we offer comprehensive, state-of-the-art care for:
Children and adults with structural heart disease. From fetal diagnosis of cardiac disease to care of elderly patients with structural abnormalities, we are prepared to provide care from diagnosis to therapy, and in most cases . . . to cure.
- Pediatric patients with acquired diseases of the heart muscle or blood vessels
- Pediatric and selective adult patients with abnormalities of cardiac rhythm, including pacemaker and defibrillator placement and management.
The disciplines at the left are the most up-to-date and relevant diagnostic and therapeutic modalities used to manage patients with cardiovascular abnormalities. Much of the diagnostic testing can be performed in our outpatient office. Interventional and surgical therapy is performed at Maine Medical Center within the context of a multidisciplinary team, of which, Congenital Heart is a primary component. This means that the same providers that care for you or your loved one in the outpatient offices will extend that care into the hospital setting.
